How to protect ethanol in the separation phase Bertram fiberglass tanks of gas with E-10 gasoline?

Hello, I have a 1985 Bertram 30 with a tank Fiberglass 220 gallons. As we approach the end of the season in the Northeast, we now have to start planning for winter. A standard procedure for Winter in recent years was to fill their gas tanks before winter storage to reduce condensation. That was before this Ethanol fiasco! However, if we have phase separation in the E-10 gas, ethanol can eat away at the fiberglass resin in the tanks and also leave deposits in the engine head. I've been trying to Startron the fuel last year. What do I do this winter? Should I fill the tank with fuel treated Startron or should I leave 1 / 2 or under the fuel tank Startron treaty?

You have 2 options really. You can fill it and treat it or be completely empty, and run the gas engine too. If you leave it any other way than to have problems. Ethanol pull moisture from the air in the tank and also gives you problems. We have had ethanol for about years in the northeast now so if you have not had problems though, you should be fine leaving it full and its treatment. Good luck.
